There are so many things to see in Hawaii, and sometimes living here, we can take them for granted. We forget sometimes that we are surrounded by paradise, with so many great places to visit and activities that we can participate in.
This month, we are celebrating Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. But there is so much more to celebrate! We get to celebrate our outdoor lives too! While we have been careful to social distance and doing our best to keep the pandemic numbers down, there are still many things that we can do to get outside and soak up the vitamin D! The best part? It does not have to cost a lot of money!
- National Parks – make a plan to get out and visit different parks and hiking locations.
- Schedule Picnics – even if you stay in your own backyard, getting outside is a great way to soak up some vitamin D, but the sunshine also helps to improve our moods.
- Set up a hammock and read – Spend some time in the great outdoors with a good book! These books can become great friends.
- Beaches – now this one is a given, but there are some out of the way locations that might not be as busy! Take some time and check them out before heading out for a day in the sun.
These are just a few suggestions that we have for you. While Valentine’s is often associated with candlelight dinners, make it a day outside instead! Switch things around and make it a day of outdoor fun!
