Make The Most of Outdoor Time

Now more than ever, there is a need to be outdoors, while staying safe. Sunlight is healthy for you, but as we are still monitoring Coronavirus, we want to be safe while having fun. With summer beginning, the desire to spend more outdoors gets stronger. There are so many fun things that you can do in your backyard, while still staying safe! These ideas won’t break the bank either! Use what you have at home to construct and enjoy the day.

  1. Bring Your Own Picnic Get Together – plan to have some friends socially distance with you in your backyard. Each brings their own blanket and food! Spread out and spend the afternoon together.
  2. Father’s Day – For Father’s Day, a bonfire with s’mores and food (each person bringing their own) can be a great way to share your favorite stories about dear ole dad!
  3. Plan A Game Day – there are several games that can be played, while maintaining social distancing.  A few ideas include: horseshoes, charades, obstacle courses, and cornhole.
  4. Find those little known locations and spend a day exploring.

Small things can make the most of your time. Chalk art in the driveway, decorating sidewalks, working in gardens – all promote healthy activities. Nothing is ideal right now, and it sure is not perfect. We are taking each day as it comes, and doing our best to keep situations positive. It is not ideal. It is not perfect. However, making the most of the time outside will help to raise your spirits, and keep you feeling fantastic.

Get out and enjoy the sunshine! Tell us how you are making the most of your time outside!
