Preparing For Back To School

As we inch closer to August, it is time to start thinking about Back to School! It is hard to believe that summer is flying by, and we are preparing for kids to start back.

For those who are returning to school, it can seem like a breeze, but for those who are going to be attending for the first time, it might seem a little daunting. Here are a few tips for newbies and pros to help the school year start off smoothly.

  1. Get clothes together beforehand and be sure that you have everything you need for the next morning. This saves running around trying to find what you are missing.
  2. Plan what you are going to eat for breakfast. This is an essential start to your day! Your brain needs the fuel to do well! Be sure to pack a healthy lunch as well. You are going to need to refuel halfway through the day. Veggies and fruits are also a great way to keep your energy levels up, in addition to other nutritious foods.
  3. Use a planner. Day planners are useful to track important dates, classes, and note any homework that is due.
  4. Put your name on your backpack – even if you are schooling at home!
  5. Be sure you have a refillable water bottle!
  6. Whether you are online or in-person, be sure that you are respectful to your classmates and your teacher.

I am sure there are other things that you can add to the list, but we don’t want to make it overwhelming!
