This is the first year both of my kids are in school, which means on the rare occasion my husband gets a Friday or Monday off of work we get the entire day to ourselves. We were fortunate enough to spend a day together last week and we decided to take a drive along the North Shore.
We dropped the kids off at school, threw on some sweaters, rolled the windows down and jammed to some Bob Seger as we drove along the coastline. My husband and I both love food and if you’ve ever driven along the North Shore coastline then you know there are plenty of good grindz along the way. We had multiple snacks before deciding on Ted’s Bakery for lunch. If you’ve never had Ted’s Bakery I must say you’re missing out!
They have an extensive menu that you can browse on their website http://www.tedsbakery.com/ and they do have tables where you can sit and enjoy your food. However, the surf was great that day and we decided to take our food to Sunset Beach so we could enjoy the view. We decided to try the Spicy Garlic Shrimp and it did not disappoint! The shrimp were colossal in size and the flavor was buttery with just the right amount of garlic and spice, and the mac salad was so delicious! We also had a slice of one of their pies…there wasn’t a crumb left by the time we were done! If you’ve never stopped and dined at Ted’s Bakery do yourself a favor and go check it out!
